Industry 4.0 is the era of autonomous systems, IoT, machine learning, artificial intelligence and other, yet to be conceived innovations that are forever changing the way the business of industry gets done. Industrial automation is at the heart of Industry 4.0, but the current technology is limiting change based on proprietary systems that “lock in” users.

Universal Automation.Org (UAO) is a vendor-independent industrial user group created to help break down the barriers limiting change to make plug and produce universal automation a reality by driving adoption of a new system that integrates hardware and software and unlocks vendor specific platforms.

As a new brand, UAO wanted to create a pre-launch video that would explain their offer and recruit members in the industry. After a successful enrollment, Carbon was engaged to develop the brand identity, logo, social campaign, suite of assets, as well as brand guidelines and templates for UAO to communicate their brand to a much larger audience.

Given the massive industry disruption, the brand and assets needed to speak to industry visionaries across the globe to drive a paradigm shift for the automation world at large.
Using the proprietary UAO ‘Function Block’ Icon and a personal call to action, Carbon called for the “Game Changers” of industry. To date global industrial leaders like Shell, Intel, Schneider Electric, Cargill and many others have joined this movement.
