Freelance Web Developer

About the Role:

• Build and maintain WordPress sites and static generated sites for our clients
• Work with our tech stack: Alpine.js, TailwindCSS, Astro.js, WordPress and Timber
• Work on a contract basis with a team that values communication, creative problem-solving and continuous learning. Initially we’re looking for someone to work with us on a freelance basis for about 10 hours per month with the potential for more hours.

What You'll Do:

• Develop responsive, performant websites using modern tools
• Implement custom WordPress themes using Timber
• Create interactive UI components with Alpine.js
• Style applications efficiently with TailwindCSS
• Build static sites with Astro.js
• Collaborate with internal team members and clients
• Provide regular updates on your work progress via Monday.com, slack, and stand up meetings

What We're Looking For:

• ~1 year of web development experience (code camp graduate’s welcome!)
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Open to learning marketing concepts and data analytics
• Problem-solving mindset and creative approach to challenges
• Basic WordPress knowledge
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with any of our tech stack (Alpine.js, TailwindCSS, Astro.js, WordPress, Timber)
• Experience with Email Marketing tools like Hubspot, Mailchimp or other
• Understanding of SEO principles
• Basic data visualization or analytics experience
• Git version control familiarity
