Thermacell offers a new solution to old problems - keeping your family safe from mosquitoes and ticks. Instead of slathering yourself in questionably carcinogenic DEET, using wasteful propane-powered traps, or lighting useless citronella candles, Thermacell offers a solution based on synthetic compounds that mimic natural bug repellent properties of chrysanthemums and other plants. Thermacell repellents operate on butane cartridges or rechargeable batteries to disperse repellent in a 15 or 20-foot radius, sending mosquitoes and ticks away from you.
Carbon created and launched brand awareness and performance media campaigns for some of Thermacell’s top-selling products. Our approach included the following steps:
- Carbon Theory data deep-dive and opportunity discovery
- Cross-channel media and measurement plans
- Campaign launches, A/B/C tests, and weekly optimizations
Carbon also assisted in the launch of Thermacell LIV, a multi-repeller smart home solution to automatically protect large areas against mosquitoes. Building from Resonate data and other customer insights, Carbon developed a category creation launch strategy to bring LIV to market and led media strategy/planning across channels including:
- OTT/CTV
- Programmatic
- Paid social
- Search
- Endemic websites and newsletters
Additionally, Carbon worked on the web development and user interface on Thermacell’s website in order to convert consumers down the sales funnel during their customer journey.
