The short answer.

Carbon, Directive, Impactable, KlientBoost, Refine Labs, Walker Sands and WebFX publish paid-media services relevant to B2B buyers. Compare the business problem each team is equipped to solve, its responsibility for creative and landing pages, and how it connects media activity to qualified opportunities. This is a shortlist to investigate, not a ranking of delivery quality.

Work backward from the work

What needs to change?

Search is the main job.

Begin with the searches that could represent a customer, the offer behind each ad and the destination. An account audit should lead to decisions your team can understand.

Bring it into the conversation: Ask for a sample search-intent review and a landing-page recommendation.

You need to reach a buying team.

A narrow business audience may require more than capturing existing searches. Ask how account selection, creative and channel roles will work together.

Bring it into the conversation: Ask how the team would reach different stakeholders without counting every impression as buying intent.

The story and the media need work.

If buyers do not understand why your offer matters, include positioning and creative in the brief. Confirm that the proposed team can deliver those changes.

Bring it into the conversation: Ask who owns the message, the creative and the destination—and who resolves disagreements.

From browsing to briefing

Give every agency the same brief.

Choose two or three teams for an initial conversation. Share enough context to make their recommendations comparable.

Carbon works on a project or retainer basis. Projects receive a custom quote based on need and timing; retainers start as low as $5,000/month. This is Carbon’s general engagement guidance, not a PPC package price or a statement about the other agencies.

How we chose the agencies

A considered starting point.

Agency sources were reviewed on October 6, 2026. This is a curated set for B2B teams comparing paid-media partners, not a complete list of the market or a scored test of delivery quality.

Agency services, teams and terms can change. Verify the current details before hiring. Tell Carbon about a factual correction.

  • Relevant public evidence. Each agency publishes paid-media capabilities and a B2B offering. We included a mix of integrated, B2B-focused and performance-specialist approaches; public service information was the inclusion test, not an assessment of results.
  • A useful range of approaches. We chose options that help illustrate differences in research, brand, content, demand, digital and communications.
  • The same comparison format. Every profile includes a published focus, a reason to explore, a question to ask and direct source links. Alphabetical order does not indicate preference.
  • Clear limits. We did not interview or audit these agencies for this guide. Their own statements are not independent verification of results. Inclusion does not imply endorsement of Carbon.
  • No guessed commercial terms. Request current pricing, staffing and availability directly. Carbon’s published pricing applies to Carbon only.

Before you reach out

A few things worth asking.

Is a paid-media agency the same as a PPC agency?

The terms overlap. PPC often refers to paid-search work, while paid media may also include social, display, video and other placements. Ask which channels and responsibilities the actual scope includes.

Should we hire a specialist or an integrated agency?

A specialist can fit a well-defined channel problem when your team already owns strategy, creative and the website. An integrated team can help when those decisions depend on each other. Confirm the actual working model rather than relying on the label.

How should a B2B agency measure success?

Agree on measures that connect to your business, such as relevant inquiries, qualification and opportunities. Keep reach, clicks, submissions and revenue separate, and document attribution limits and the time sales outcomes take to appear.

Does this guide identify the best agency?

No. Carbon is both the publisher and one of the options. We used public service information to create a useful starting set, not an independent quality ranking. Review relevant work, meet the proposed team and verify current terms.
